Aerial Photography

David Maisel is a fellow alumni from my alma mater, California College of the Arts. I first discovered his work, Library of Dust at his CCA graduate thesis show and it made a huge impression on me. The colors in these photographs are so saturated and beautiful they remind me of lush oil paintings. I especially liked his Terminal Mirage series because of the abstract painterly quality of his work. Here are a few of his works from this series that I used as color inspiration for our tiles.
